Bullpen Workload

Never before have bullpens been as important as they are right now. The Yankees (and every other team) shuttle pitchers back and forth between Triple-A and MLB throughout the season to ensure there’s always a fresh arm or two on the roster. The strength of bullpen on any given day depends as much on who’s on the roster as it does who’s actually available on a given day.

The table below tracks the recent workload of the Yankees’ bullpen in terms of pitches thrown. I’ve added the same info for the Triple-A pitching staff as well, since those guys could get called up at any moment. “WU” indicates the player warmed up in the bullpen but did not appear in the game.
